My parents took a trip to Israel and part of Egypt and found it so interesting. FYI- Israel water is fine, but if you do go to Egypt stay away from the water (although you have probably already been told this).
We're going on a tour, led & organized by a couple at our church (they spend 2-3 months a year in Israel). The trip was "gifted" to us by one of the couples on the tour. So incredibly thankful for that. Can't wait!!
