PRECIOUS TIME WITH MY FAMILY
We've been spending the last two weeks with my family in Georgia and enjoying every moment. Who knows when we'll see each other again? As always, it's never enough time. This week, Don took a sabbatical at our timeshare exhange near Atlanta & planned out a sermon outline for 2010. Nate & I stayed on with my parents and had fun shopping in Kennesaw & touring Ellijay & Blue Ridge, in the Blue Ridge mountains. I went down to the timeshare today while Nate stayed with Grandma & Grandpa. Don & I are ringing in the new year in Atlanta, watching the Peach Drop & celebrating 20 years together!!

My friend and I were recently talking about the ubiquitousness of technology in our daily lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory falls, the possibility of transferring our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could see in my lifetime.
